Looks good. I can tell the tube that runs across the dash, is the one you are having second thoughts about.

I saw a YJ with a bar like that and when he rolled it, the cage didn't even budge. Good Idea IMO.

They look OK to me. What else more can you do without ripping into your dash?

im not sure how big of a guy you are but id definetly try to put those apillar bars in the dash so you have plenty of room. in a roll your legs are gonna flop around and hit that spreader bar.

I built this cage for a buddy of mine (It's an '86)...from the photo it's hard to tell, but the glovebox door still works perfectly (the sunvisors are still intact and functional too), and the mount in the floor lines up perfectly with the front cab support brackets underneath. It's a nice strong setup.
Admittedly, doing the compound bends was a pain and I ended up sleeving it to allow me to mock everything up perfectly before final welding. There are more pics in my .sig link if you're interested.

Thats more like what I was wanting Greg. I will wheel it like this for a while and find my pros and cons then go from there.
As of the cage it was a S&W but started putting things together and decided to change up alot of it just for personablility. The rear cage is narrow right now with future thoughts of narowing.

Looks like your knees and shins are going to pay the price. 
But I'm a big guy. If you are small you might be OK. I like that you are tackling it yourself though. One of these days I am going to build one.
