Some flex pics, flame away

Here's a better pic of the front shock tower. Is it the angle of the shock that makes it so bad? I have a SM465 and the "Z" bar gets in the way of the shock tower. Mabye I'll try and trim it and see If I can get a little better angle out of it. Or a hydro clutch might be put on the "wish list" also.

Oh, it sucked. Took about 5hrs. After each leaf of the springs packs I had to use the drill doctor. Lots of WD40 and about 200rpm on the hand held drill.

IIRC that's a line from Talladega Nights, not Zen.

I ain't gonna lie, that was a botched version of the movie line. Still funny as hell though. :D

Well I know it was said that I had a bad shock angle, but it's still holding and doing fine.
I think he meant with the 14bolt shocks in the stock location on the rear axle. Most people try to move them to the top of the axle. One rock comes through and that rear shock is going to get banged up.

The rear hangers arn't pretty but they work :waytogo:
Nice lookin truck

Thats some good flex  . Whats with the oregon plates ?? I have a drill press and some good bits so it's not to bad to drill through springs (lot's of cutting oil) but I would worry that the springs would crack and snap at the old hole location :eek1: . Looks like you will cutting off lot's of sheetmetal if you are going to run larger tires .

This month I am going to get my knuckles milled and crossover done. I have another pair of non-drilled springs that I will replace the current ones with. Along with the new springs, I will be adding an ORD shackle flip, zero rates on the front and 38's, I just can't decide between the SSR or the TSL.
