I plan-on putting 5.13's in my GM D60..
I have 4.10's at this time..
Since I have a ARB...
I like to find a set of thick gears...

Who has them??

Has anyone used the spacer to adapt 5.13's to your 4.10 carrier???

Thanks..

As far as I know you will have to run a spacer. There are no thick gears available for a standard rotation D60. If it is set up properly it will be fine with a spacer in the front axle.

no one sells thick gears for D60, just have to use the spacer. I have a spacer, not using it though, been told not to, no idea on it really.

New carrier or the spacer. Most people will say not to run them and I would agree for a rear axle but in the front it should be fine. I know a couple of guys with pulling trucks running spacers in the front and have had no problems with them.

I guess this is what I'm looking for...
Someone that is using a spacer...that hasn't had a problem.. /forums/images/graemlins/peace.gif

I have the spacer on my truck with a 4.10 version Detroit Locker. I have 4.56 gears. The spacer was like $30 from Randy's Ring & Pinion. No problems with it and I have been running it for 2 yrs now. Done some preatty hard wheelig with it too. /forums/images/graemlins/peace.gif /forums/images/graemlins/peace.gif

I could have sworn they made a set of thick gears. On closer look I guess they don't. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

Add me to the list of spacer users.

I ran 5.13's on a Trac Lock in a D60 for about 5 years with no problems. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

Went through the same deal a couple months ago. I was going to swap in 4:56's but don't want to replace the carrier yet. I was going to get a spacer but decided that lower gears in the t case would be more usefull.

They make a thick set for the Ford HP D60...
because ford HP60 only came with a 4.10 carrier..

But nothing for the standard rototation GM 60...

You have to use a spacer... /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

I don't think I'd really want to use a spacer. This throws me a curveball now.....I wanted to go to 5.13s and I run the lock right. That means I have to either buy a detroit or find a 4.56 open carrier. /forums/images/graemlins/dunno.gif
