K time for a 3 wire 02 sensor to be put into my dual exhaust with heddman headers. The local shop will install the bung free of charge where i want it so im not to sure just where to get the plug installed either on the header itself or on the exhaust pipe right after the header? Also how would i have to hook up power to the sensor? im thinkin through the fuse box with keyed power? any fuses or anything to install inline or just put ends on the wires and plug them straight into keyed ign? im hoping having a 02 sensor will help out on my current gas cunsumption aswell :doah:

Put the bung into the header in the collector area. It's best to have the O2 as near heat as possible to keep it "active" if the heater element where to go open circuit. As far as hook up, you definitely want it on ign. power. No sense in having the heater inside the O2 "on" all the time. Possible even run it through a relay to keep the amps as low as possible thru the ignition switch so that doesn't overheat and melt. Not really sure how many amps a heated O2 draws. The "sensor" wire goes to the PCM/ECM or meter (how ever you are using the O2) and the other two are power and ground for the heater element.
