Specs on the truck so far are:
strong 396 BBC
TH400 (5 clutch)
AA Atlas II transfer case w/ upgraded output shaft and 1350's
D60 front w/ WTO hydro-steer (air or elec locker soon)
14 btff rear w/discs (detroit soon)
USA6X6 16.5x12 dbl beadlocks w/ 39.5" TSL's

Pics here are of the mock-up. Gonna try it with 8" springs (shown), zero rates in rear, 1" body lift. BBC will be shifted forward 2" for clearance. On board air, etc etc...

Here's the engine, tranny and t-case...

Well that's about it for now. Tell me what you guys think. :)

looks awesome. Are you using regular 47" front lift springs for a 73+ or did you go 52s or something?

Yea the front springs were ordered for the 73, 47". Fabbed the front/front hangers.

the front hangers are in third pic

Wow - you got a few projects going at once!

Is that K5MONSTERCHEV's old rig?
Good eye, it is K5MONSTERCHEV's old tub/frame. :)

Yeah, several projects here... too many. lol 3 K5 blazers plus 2 parts trucks, the s-10 blazer low rider, 66 impala and 66 chevelle. And yeah, just this truck alone has alot of 'little' projects to get it finished. *whew* Gonna finish up the 72, then move on to the chevelle.

Hey,
I was wondering if you could shoot a closer pic of the front spring mount you made?

I'm putting 1/2 ton springs up front on my 68. just running to the parts store now for bolts to get the rest of the rear brackets on (truck rear spring front hanger, and a 2nd gen flip with cherokee lift shackles, 4" 56's and a 3" block)

you may wonder how this ties in and is not a toal hi jack. the front spring front hanger and rear blocks came from greg, k5monsterchev's k5 as well. the rest of his lift is on my roommates 72.

So its you that got those spring hangers! lol I was sorta wondering where they'd gone (not that I expected them on the parts I bought). Turns out those little buggers seem to be hard to find (:D) so I/we decided to just make some new ones. Had my father design and fab em up, think they are gonna turn out nice. He even put some adjustment holes in them in case I need to move stuff up/down/around.

Right now the hangers are just tacked together. Im on a 2-3 week trip so finishing them up will have to wait until I get home. I'll be sure to post some better/closer pics then.

Thanks for the replies guys. I'll be sure to keep posting as it progresses.
