Some pics of my new air force burban

Holy Sh*t!!! That body is rust free!!! Wont stay that way long by you. You better undercoat that thing like crazy!

Or.....you could send it up my way and I'll get 'er nice and rust for ya!!!

Damn that thing is clean! id definetly coat everything just for piece of mind though

That's one of the cleanest burbs I've ever seen. No rust:bow: . Really nice find, I wich it was possible to find something like that over here.

wow thats purdy.

real clean nice score, way nicer than my ebay burb i just got.

what did that set you back?

strange the armed forced would have a gasser, guess i always asumed they would all be diesels :dunno:

edit, get that jackmate on her!:D

Darkshadow, just sent you a pm. Yes i got the jackmate. Paid way to much for it, but its real clean and only 2 dents. runs like crap thow. Not all that good with gas motors yet. I have seen alot of gas air force subs. there was a diesel one where i picked this up, but i think they are all c code not j code like the cucvs. When you guys say undercoat you mean like a rino lining?? Am i thinking right? Plans for it:
Get it to run right.
4 or 6" lift
1 ton CUCV rears
lock the D60
Bunch of ORD and DIY parts
and 38" xmls

thats about it for now.

thx for the replys guys

Go to an auto parts store and get cans of rubberized under coating, not rhinolining/ hurculiner

cool i JUST got back from barnhart MO with my new suburban, is in worse shape than that but at least runs nice, hell cant complan for 600 bucks, rust free is nice though

Enjoy your new sub. Mine was WAY more the 600. guess you got lucky. What is so great about under coat? i thought it was just one more way to trap water and cause rust.

Undercoat is not the best way, like you said it traps moisture.
There are some products that actually bond to metal and convert the surface to a good oxide so it won't become another oxid (rust)
Can't remember any now it's been 10 years but Rustoleum has some similar products, check out their line of products.

i would def. buy some rust bullet and get under that thing! haha awesome collection you have down there!

rust free suburbans down here are a dime a dozen. and well most of them are worked. dents and dings everywhere, but no rust. sweet cant wait to see the final result
