Ummm, no. That is most certainly not a gov-lock. There is no flyweight or other 'cuckoo-clock' crap in that diff. I'm gonna say it's a clutch type posi. If there is a tag on the cover it probably mentions the need for a friction modifier.

When I had mine apart , the block was on one side and all the little watch springs and gizmo's were on the opposite side

I only see a pic of the block side for his , I would guess the little stuff is on the opposite side

Mine is a gov lock for sure

Found this on Eaton's Web Site..."The Eaton Locker is option code G80 Locking Differential on GM light trucks and SUV's. "

The code in my glove box is 1G80....Guess it is a Gov Lock.

Whats on the other side? Rotate the diff aroudn to the other opening and take a pic. If it isn't buttoned up already.

thats a gov loc, if you rotate the diff 180*, you will see all the little moving parts.
