is the front axle on jackstands or the ground? If you have the tires on the ground and are cranking the wheel back and forth you can really froth up the fluid.

I run synthetic, it really cuts down on the bubbles.

yeah its up on jack stands, no tires, no drag link even. its brand new pump and box, i dont even have enough power to turn the knuckles with out reving it. with the drag link off, it seems to work fine until i hit the center, then it gets hard for a second.

i had one of my hydro boost lines mixed up for like 1min of having it running, could that had killed my brand new pump?

you lost me when you introduced hydroboost. I hooked the lines up to my ram assist. by the time I got it completely bled out I toasted the steering box. I scored the inside of the box so bad I couldn't rebuild it. :doah: thats was a $150 mistake.

How do you know the box and pump are good?

cuz they are both brand new

i think the box is bad, with no hoses or draglink on, its seems pretty smooth until it get in the center and then it gets real hard. this is a brand new box.

sounds like the backlash is out of adjustment.

did u figure this out? my truck with hydroboost does the same thing, it has a hard spot in the middle, hasnt bothered me too much though because i rarely drive it on the street.

Yeah it was a brand new box, but I took it back and got a different one and now its fine.
