I've figured out the key to getting things done... and that is to do at least one small thing on your truck every day. Could be something super small one day... maybe you just organize your truck tools... or clean something. Other days it might be pulling a tranny or something more time consuming. If you can keep this up, its really just a matter of time before you make serious progress.
get to work on your truck you'll be glad you did if you get something done. I seem to get the most done when Im least motivated. I start going and either have fun and want to continue or get so pissed off that I wanna get it done so I dont have to do it again for a couple days. or more likely a couple hours.
He said something bad was gonna happen. Try keeping all the beer in the shop. If no shop, keep it in an icechest in the truck. If you don't drink, then do the same with sodas.
I had to put a water pump on in the dark and rain so I could go to school the next day.
A couple weeks ago I put a 14blt in my truck. The same night I tried take a girl on a date and ended up putting wheel bearings in on the side of the road in the rain. She actually had fun. Too bad she treated me like s***.
Do a search on Garage for "russian" and watch that crazy mud race. That video gets me going every time, also lots of coffee. beer, my good old buddy weiser has helped me build/fix a lot of things.
Damn, I love that song "One Piece at a Time". Brings back a lot of memories of sitting next to the campfire in the middle of the desert with a cold beer in my hand, and Johnny Cash playing on my trucks stereo, after a long day of wheelin and dirt bike riding.
