Built a light duty jib hoist this weekend. Need to hang the hoist yet but check out the pivot tube. Recognize the parts???

YUP. 14 bolt tubes with hubs. Smoke the bearings down tight so it doesn't free wheel so easily and weld the axle tubes together.

I think I remember. Didn't you show a pic of the cut tube to show it was 1/2"? And all you would say at the time is that it was for a project?

Yeah I did. Come to find out that they are only 1/2" thick where they enter the housing. The tube is actually 3/8". That was also an entirely different project that will again someday be in the works.

Good memory though!!
 
We call those Jib cranes. They're great over top of the saw and over top of the Press Brake at work...
