OK so look what the mailman brought me at the end of last week:

So now I need to know how to get the old Cheyenne emblems off, and mount these up. For reference below is the area that they mount:

Boy I really hope I did the tagging right to get these to show up. Any help would be appreciated. These are NOS Silverardo emblems, as my 80 was built at the end of 79 and was originally equipped with the Silverado package, but Chevy used the Cheyenne emblems. I want to know how to remove the old ones, and then install the new ones.

i used a thick card and pried a screw driver trough it between the emblem and the card as to not scratch the paint

Do the little spring clips behind the fender drop when you do this, or do they actually stay in place. I'm not too worried about the paint, but it will be getting painted later this year if all goes well.

they usually stay in the holes or stay on the emblem

Ok I will try to do the left side this weekend, as it has the least amount of rust. A few patch panels and I will have it all set.

Got them swapped today. Much simpler than I thought it would be. I haven't glued them into place yet, as I plan on getting the body prepped and painted within the next few months.
