am i beeing stupid and missing something or is pulling the Alt. bracket on my 89 going to be a big PITA?
looks like i have to pull the pully off the power steering pump to get the pump off? and the bracket out?

i really just need the littl support bracket off the back of the alt and PS pump, but it looks like it wont come out

Just take the pump off with the bracket and you can slip a wrench in between the pully and the bracket. getting it back on mey be a different story.

IIRC that little bracket is bolted to the alt and intake manifold?

nope just the ps pump and the alt.

and i cant get the pump off with out taking the pully off

They make a pulley puller for the power steering. You can probably rent one from a parts store.
