sorry another 700r4 question

ok just put another 700r4 in, adjusted the cable right but it is shifting way to soon. It gets up to OD way to fast. I did a search but could really find anything for shifting too soon. Again I adjusted the tv cable, so thats not it. Thanks alot

Did it happen to come from a diesel truck? The governor in a 700R4 from a diesel application will upshift way earlier than one built for a gas truck. You can either change the weights and springs on the governor or just swap one in from a trans that was behind a gas engine.

check the switch on the brake pedal, too. i had one go bad.

i dont think it was out of a diesel but i could be wrong, how do i check the switch on the brakes what is it anyways, the lock up for the tc??

If your shifting servo isn't working right it'll do that...

ask me how i know...
