Ok im building a truck for my nephew (not my thing but its what he wants) It is a 1994 f150 with the twin front axle. i have a solid f350 dana 60 that was under my dump truck that i was gona mount under it but cant find a lift. So plan 2 he already has a 8" coil lift so couldnt i get new mounts for it and utilize the coil suspension? anyone make parts or done such a thing? Kert? Anyone links or pics are appreciated.

THe F 150 is coil suspension correct?

The D60 should be leaf sprung correct?

It is going to be hard to just put the D60 under the F 150. I don't know of a "kit" to do that, probably going to have to fab up spring mounts and radius arm mounts as well.

Then figure out the steering and trac bar deal.

I see that as being all custom fab stuff.

A good ford site might have something that is not common chevy guy knowledge.

I'd hit the junkyards looking for an F350 4x4. Take the brackets and springs from it. You might also need the steering box.I don't know if Ford used the same steering box/linkage for the 150/250 as the 350.

You may want to take a look over at www.fullsizebronco.com

Although I've never looked around to much on that site, I know they have some decent info on SAS.

you can order radius arm Cs and weld them to the axles and then use 78-79 f150 or bronco arms with the coil mounts.then you just have to make track bar mounts on the axle and frame.we did it to a friends bronco and i am getting ready to do the same under a 79 bronco.

Hey thanks. Yeah im not afraid of fabbing up just dont wana go into it blindly. Its basically the same as taking a chevy dana 60 and converting to coil sprung. if anyone has done that which im sure they have id love to see some pics

Since you are having to fab up everything anyway, couldn't you just use chevy lift springs?

What's he planning on doing with the truck? If he's crawling then sure a SAS would be the way to go but if he's just messing around on the pavement or hitting the dunes then TTB would be worth keeping IMO.
