Highboys!!! :waytogo::waytogo::waytogo::waytogo::waytogo:

I started out falling in love with these trucks back as a teenager and still love them today. I prefer these trucks over any other, even K30's. :waytogo:

I agree. My dad had a 76 that I learned to drive in. I almost sold the Blazer to buy one. One day....

I had a 77 1/2 f250 low boy. Built 400m/435/205 4.10s. Awesome tuck. They not seem to rust out as much as the gm ones. Fit 35s with no lift or cutting.

Sold it because it got 8 mpg. All the time. My k5 on 42s got better mileage.

Btw, high boys suck IMO.

yeah, where's the ford experts...thatk30guy?

let's show examples of the mid 60 to late 70's furds..

and this isn't "how good of a truck, x, y, z" this is strictly based on the shape, looks and style of the sheetmetal..

I like the bodyline/side better on the tan one, and the roof.. but I like the grill better on the blue one... not sure what the piece missing on the hood looks like on the tan one..

pretty sure the tan one is a 70..

here's another with a bashed grill and the same bodyline, sidermarker light.. some seem to have had a chrome molding over that body line.. which I DON'T like....

Here is my 74 f250 Highboy with 76 grill inserts, it aint much to look at but it was cheap enough.....

I like that grill... I tend to like larger open section grills... but that 70 is cool too...

it appears the earlier ones ran the Ford up on the hood, with just a chrome trimmed gap below it.. that's what the tan one should have.. whereas the later mid 70's one ran the logo in that gap..

they're both good looking trucks..

I like the 76-77 grill better than 73-75, when I decide to start rebuilding this truck Ill be putting the 76-77 grill on it.

The 70 is a very beautiful truck, Ford and Chevy/GMC all had awesome looking trucks in the 60's and 70's....

it appears the sheetmetal breaks are, 61 to 66, 67 to 72, than 73 to whatever...

I'm not the expert on the '67-'72 years of molding identification. I only know the '73-'79 F-series and their grilles. I just know a Highboy on the pre-'73 trucks when I see one.
