I'm trying to answer a question for my girlfriend.... I'm searching online for the wheel bolt pattern of both an '04 Exploder, and and '98 Nav/Expedon't.

Does anyone know off the top of their heads what both those patterns are?

I found a site that lists '90-up Explorer as 5x114.3, and '97-'00 Expedition as 5x135. WTF??? I know my '94 2wd Seirra is 5-on-5.5 lug pattern, but this site says it's 5x127. I'm lost. Can someone straighten me out?

They are metric, not american spacing. The 114.3 is in millimeters as is the 135

Lug patterns are either measured in american or metric but not both. To be exact 5.5" = 139.7mm

Gee, thanks, Ira:rolleyes:.... I didn't WRITE that in my first post!?!? hahaha:haha:

Someone wanna translate those metric measurements into English - err, I mean, American for me?? We all know our GM's are 5-on-5, or 6-on-5.5, or 8-on-6.5, yada yada yada..... I'd find it hard to believe that F*rd's don't have the same standard measurements, like GM's. The ONLY exception I can think of would be F*rd's off-the-wall 8 lug pattern, but that would be it.

Shed any light??

Early fords are american bolt spacing and the laters fords are metric bolt spacing. There is no means of installing an american spacing wheel on a metric spaced vehicle and vice versa.

Math is rough, eh?

(114.3mm) / (25.4mm/inch) = 4.5"
(127mm) / (25.4mm/inch) = 5"

OUCH!! I was tired - I'll blame it on that:o. Thanks for showing the math, bro - I didn't know it was 25.4mm/inch.

That is not what you asked Fo(Ker. You asked what is the pattern for an explorer and a Navigator/expedition. You did not believe what you read so I just reassured you:D .
