sounds stupid best way to clean soft top off truck

I have a old 5 window soft top for 87 K5 in black I plan on selling but it is little dirty. So what is best way to clean it off the truck? thinking laying old bed sheet down and washing it with some soap and water.

Am I on the right track?

At home if you have a clothes line use that or flop it over a deck rail, or the side of the truck. Not at home take it to a car wash and hang it up where they hang the floor mats and wash it off there.

Lay it out on the grass, as long as you have a nice lawn so you don't scratch it. Mild soap (dish soap or car cleaner) and a soft bristle brush on a pole or sponge mop.

Had good luck w/ a nylon brush and simple green.

Once you get it clean and dried it may look a little drab. Some conditioner like Armor All or any other interior treatment will darken the color again and make it look better. It's an easy way to get more bucks out of it.
