Source for rebuilt steering columns?

What is wrong with yours? They are easy to take apart with a couple special tools (they are cheap) and there's not much to replace. If it's just a loose tilt then there should be no parts required.

Loose/screwed up tilt, ignition switch problems, and column shifter is loose. I just found a place local that specializes in rebuilding older GM stuff and am trading e-mails with the guy. $200 for a complete rebuild sounds reasonable.

Some things I do myself, sometimes I hire it out. The problems with this kind of began when I replaced the ignition switch about 5 years ago. I don't have a lot of time to devote to it right now, think I'll hire it out this time.

those are tricky the first time, after that it isnt so bad. and like scott said the tools are pretty cheap and should be at almost every good parts store in the nation.
