Source for spedo cable

Wondering if anyone has run across a solution to my problem. Ive got a 82 6.2 K5 with an auto tranny and i need a lower spedo cable. none of the local parts stores have them, or even list an item (even NAPA). calling the dealer only resulted in a reply that the part was discontinued and that they couldn't get one. please help!

yea, checked there, called all over and couldn't find one. but i did find a place in Denver that could make any speedo cable you need. called Deluxe Speedometer in Denver, CO (303 629-6958) if anyone is in the same situation i was. Takes um about 20 minutes to make one, and costs about $37.
