Ya'll have any advice for sourcing a 6L80e in or near Colorado? I don't care if it needs rebuilt, just wondering if there are good vendors that have reasonable prices.

I'm hoping to swap this into my 84 K5 behind an LQ4 and attached to an NP241c. Can't find anything that says this won't work. If I'm going down the wrong path, advice is appreciated.

Thanks!

Wrecking yards usually have a few to choose from. I figure LKQ off of Peoria would be your best bet.
The U-Pull & Pay on east Colfax is kinda picked over pretty hard.

Pick and pull off tower and 70 is decent. Or it was when I lived in Colorado.

Unfortunately, any of the you-pull-the-part-yourself places seem to be devoid of those transmissions. They're GOLD. I'm hoping to find someone that has a ton of them on a shelf that I can just pay and pickup.

Search https://www.ksl.com/ and go to classifieds and then they break it down to different auto parts categories and also a non-running autos section. Best classifieds around. Prices get a little high due to everyone on there thinking their crap is made of gold.

The problem with running a 6L80 with an LQ4 is the engine runs on a Gen III OS and the trans runs on a Gen IV OS. You might be able to get it to work with some real crafty wiring and and even craftier tuning but I'd really look into whether or not it can or has been done before spending money on a transmission.
