Sorry Ryan, must not have been subscribed to my own thread...
I took it and had a great time. We stopped to eat lunch and it wouldn't start, so 2 trips(always) to Advance and a new starter and was back on the trails about 3 hours later. Good thing about Harlan is you're not far from town. Starter had been dragging for the past year after motor was up to temp, and I kept checking timing, thinking that was my issue. I wont tackle anything too extreme and press my luck with 36's and 10 bolts, but I was impressed. I thought losing the weight from the blazer body would lighten it too much in the rear, but I really think it goes better now. I was following a Rubicon, XJ, 2 YJ's, and a Toyo p/u and they all hit the obstacles more than once, and I went thru them all the first try.
On a sad note, after the Fall Crawl in Harlan in October this year, I'm going to sell it to a friend of mine...
Only to start my next project of cutting the CUCV down to about Blazer length. I have been reading 2 killer forums on Pirate, and have decided it will be easier to do than swapping to the K5. If you've not seen those forums, shoot me a pm, and I'll send ya the links.
And keep us posted on your build up, I'm a subscriber!
