Do you carry them ? Front or rear both ? How do you store them while on the trail ? I want pics and lots of them I hope . Trying to come up with a clean way to store them on my rig .

I carry front 60 axles (neckdown) complete with 30 outers without the shields on them. I strap them down to the wheel wells with 2 strips of 7/8" shallow unistrut and strut straps for 1.5" EMT. 1" emt minerallac strap for the 30 spline stub shafts bolted to the wells. All comes apart with a 7/16 wrench.

When I had the k5, I had them wired to the cage. The spare tire was behind the drivers seat bolted to the tubing, shafts wired to it. Carried a stub shaft in an ammo can back by the tail gate

spare driveshafts were wired in to the passenger side

I think I want to mount them underneath somewhere post some pics guys .

I remember seeing @onetonbb74 spare shafts strapped down. He carries a wide variety of spares, tools and 4 course meals on the trail :D I don’t carry any of my spare axle shafts on the trail however I brought them to Moab and left them at camp in case they were needed.

I carry a spare rear driveshaft on the trail though.

Just wheel with @onetonbb74

I usually try to wheel safe enough that I won't break axles. Most fullsizes are running the 60 +14 combo and if someone has a spare I'm sure they would lend it to someone in need

I need to pick up a spare driveline someday

He didn't help me on flat iron Mesa last year when we were at Blazer Bash. But stuffing a D60 shaft into my D44 didn't look like it was going to work that well.

We shared a few beers that night at camp though. Good times.
