spare tire carrier from k5 fit a burb?

has anyone tried this? i want to see if its possible to turn the spare tire carrier to hold my nato cans. it seems pretty simple, but maybe someone else has tried this and can give me a heads up...

the swing out tire carriers? Most ppl frown on those, as they weren't built very strong, and rip their mounts out of the side of the body.

I would personally look into a custom bumper with swing out carrier integrated.
