ok here is the deal the last owner made a custom bracket so the tire could go on the left side. now my problem is i cant put a tool box or anything on the other side because of the gas line cover. so my question is where can i find a original tire bracket for the right side. LMC dont have them and i dont know where else to look

well if your talking about putting a tool box on the right side, well the problem like i said, the gas cover wont let you put it flush against the bed side

the stock one that goes on the left side will not accomidate a very large spare.

you could get one but it might not work if your spare is too big.

well im gonna take back what i said earlyer, i saw a pic of one in a k5 and it seemed to me that it sits way too far into the middle of the cargo area. is this true? the one i have has it flush against the bed side.

They do sit kind of into the middle of the cargo area because it won't fit between the wheelwell and the tailgate. Welcome to short wheelbase vehicles. If your tire would fit there, it is pretty small.

I have a stock one taking up space if you need it.

$400+ :yikes:

Neat idea but wow what a price tag. Maybe someone here could do something similar.

well if i could post pics i would show you mine, the tire carrier lets a 31 inch tire sit flush against the bed and the top, and also it goes up the weel well with no problem, and it tucks neatly into the corner of the top. if you go with a inch bigger it would never fit. great idea but like i said no place for a tool box, and since the tire sits up off the floor if you put it on the right side it will block your view :( so i think i will just spend the money and buy one of those bad A$$ bumpers with the tire carrier built in
