stupid or not??
i run 42's on the trail and 35's ish on the street, would it be wise to find a tire in the middle of those to run as a spare?
pretty much set on it being a stupid idea, might ditch the spare idea, and just bring a big patch kit:confused:

run tubes in the trail tires and carry a 35" spare when your on the street.

Don't know if this is along the same lines as what you are thinking or not, but I was running with a 31" as a spare for my 33's when that was all that would fit in the truck.

I figured I couldn't run it on the rear, (gov-lock) which means more work if I got a rear flat, but it would at least get me out.

You could get away with it, if you a detroit or spool it will let you know that they are not the same size but a quick fix for that is to let air out of the bigger tire untill they can get along long enough to make it to the trailer.
