Where are you putting your 33” spare tires? I recently found that my new spare tire pushes on the tailgate such that the window won’t roll up all the way. Gets about 3/4 of the way up before it stops.

I off set mine toward the back seat away from the tail gate. It isn’t perfect, but as long as full size adults aren’t trying to sit in the rear seat nobody notices.

How did you manage that? The stock mount only has vertical adjustment as far as my pea-brain is aware.

My M1009 has the 3 legged mount bolted to the rear passenger corner. It has a bolt pointing toward the center of the truck in a vertical slot, a large washer shaped to fit the center hole of the wheel and a bent piece of 1/4” x 1” steel with a threaded hole in it that screws onto the bolt and tightens down the spare.

I just keep the shaped washer out of the middle hole, roll the tire forward a little and then tighten it down with the shaped washer against the raised paper of the wheel that used to be where hubcaps were hammered onto.

That make sense? I have 2 M1009 trucks with BFG 33 x 12.50-15 spares held down this way.

Ahhh, that makes sense. I had the same mount, but the shaped washer is currently centered on the wheel, I’ll loosen it up and clamp it down off-center and try that.

The method in the picture is actually better than what I do. Mine tends to work loose every so often.
