A lot of people have spare tire carriers on the rear, but I don't think that helps visibility or help shorten the length of the vehicle. If one were to throw it over the front seat portion of the blazer, how much over all would this effect top heaviness? It seems unforuntatley the only convinient spot, unles I find somewhere to move the gas tank and manage to stick it there.

i have a custom swing away tire carrier. and it does add length. i saw a cool tail gate setup called the tire gate. http://tiregate.com/ check that out. if i was gona make a new one i would do something like that. and i still might.

i strap mine down flat behind my rear seat... if i move my gas tank up ill probably still keep it there over the gas tank

my extra hawg flops around the bed... need to get it tied down..

I thought of mounting it to my rollbar but yeah then it will kill all visibility out the back...

so I may just make a tiedown in the bed so it can lay flat and not move around.....

I removed the rear seat, then use a ratchet strap over the tire tied down to where the seat used to mount. Works perfect.

I used to have my 37" ssr in a rack on the top. I didn't notice the difference offroad as profoundly as I did on the street. Aside from it hitting EVERYTHING of course. Since I took the top off, I've just had it flopping around in the cargo area. I'd really like to mount it to the diagonal bars of my roll bar.
