All,
I have a 305 that I put in my k10... I am not sure what year it is, as it was removed from a 1980s k5 blazer and into my k10... not sure what year it is.
It looks like that plug wires are 'supposed' to run down the side of the block then up to the cap. As the exh. manifold are above the plug.
So my question... all the wire holders are broke or missing... does anyone have any good suggestions to hold the wires off the exhaust manifolds (I have Moroso holder holding the wires together, and the routed over the top of the manifolds and valve covers), but one of the wires still got melted. I have been looking for something that I could attached to the valve cover bolts, but have not found anything at this point.
So I am hoping that someone has some suggestions...
Can anyone tell me what year this engine could be... it is/was always carb?
