Is anybody running or know anybody running a Spartan locker? I keep reading about them and how cheap and easy they are to install. I know they make them for the 12bolt but I just wanted to know if anybody running one in a full size truck and if they like it or hate it.

A few guys on here (Richcz29 and jt512) run them in the front of their trucks. They've convinced me to get one for mine as well. IDK how they hold up in the rear, but the front ones seem to work very well.

I have installed several on several different rigs.

They work well but just as any drop in locker they are not as smooth as a full case replacement locker. When they first came out they were kind of loud but they seemed to have quited down some. When I say loud I mean the ratcheting when going around corners.

They look stronger to me than the other ones out there.

I have also installed Aussies, lok rites, and detroit ezs

I just installed one in my front d60 two weekends ago. So freaking easy to install. Have yet to have a chance to use it as my TBI swap is not done yet :doah:, but everything I have read says they are great. I say go for it :waytogo:

I bought a Spartan locker for my D60. I've yet to install, but the design is so simple and like others have stated, its pretty robust.

The best price I found was on Rockauto believe it or not, they have em!

Like swettysblazer said , I've got one in the front on my K30. I've had it for about and year and it's held up fine to my big block and 42's, I honestly went that route after seeing MNORBY running one in his old S10 truggy with good results.
Like blazinzuk said, they aren't quite as smooth as a full case model, but the price, ease of install and did I mention price :D they're hard to beat.
