That's a good price here in CO.

I don't know what you're plan for a cage is but 200' is a lot of tube.

I *might* have 200' into mine to give you an idea.

I commend you for putting a cage higher on the list than most of the other mods that people go for :thumb:

That sounds about right for down here to. :D

A cage is my next project too. I havent taken the critters on anything yet because of it.:doah: I just need to hurry up and get my tube. Already have my bender and other toys. Just need to get started.

I don't have too many pictures of mine floating around here so here's a couple. I think the shop that built it used around 90-100 feet
Since I'm a full convertible the cage was also moved to the top of my priority list.

Visually 90-100 is less than that I would say.

I just went and dug out my invoice from the shop that built it, it looks like they only charged me a total of $335 for all the 1 3/4 .120" DOM tube at $3.99/ft so I only paid for 83 feet or so :eek1:
Maybe this had something to do with them going out of business....

Yeah that is way more than 83 ft.

When I caged mine, I used about 60' for the front only. Shouldn't be a prob to get the rest for 100' total. Most important part is to figure all of your tube lengths before you cut so that you don't waste pipe. Mock it with a few pieces of leftover fence pipe or conduit if you need ideas.

the price you were quoted is about what I am getting here on the east coast. 3.80 a ft for 100 ft. 3.35 for 200 ft.

200 is a lot of tube. PM Ramjet GMC. he has 230' in his but there isn't any sheetmetal left other then the hood.

Thanx ya'll keep it coming those of you whom are doing yours now let me know how it turns out. A good portion of the footage I am thinking is because of my design and how it is gusseted and suppoted. I want no! Week points

I still think 200' is a lot more than you'll need.

5280K5, go out and measure how much tube is in yours :deal:
