Did anyone see last months Petersons ?

On the winches page they show the cheap HF winch , and the MileMarker winch , same specs , same winch , different stickers :D
 
I have got one of those milemarker winches 9500lbs or something its a piece of crap. u have to beat it to work sometimes but when it works it gets er done.

I noticed that and wondered about it. The end of the article also repeats the wisdom, "You get what you pay for." Although, as a guy on a very limited budget who usually wheels with guys who have nice stuff, I could probably get away with a POS for the rare occasion when I need it. :)
 
That probably was a bad way to ask - I have a bunch of stuff from HF that works great (Jacks, air tools/compressor stuff) and assorted small stuff, but don't know anything about their larger electrical stuff.
 
I am straight up budget oriented , and all my stuff from there works too .

Now the winch would be for my DD , and not used too often I'm sure . So I could probably get away it for the price .

And I have seen one in use , its on my friends jeepster . I can't recall him having any trouble . I'll ask him when we talk this week .
 
I have one thats on my race car trailer and it works fine no complaints from me. Although I am not sure that I would want to rely on it for recovery work.
