Has a 6.2 and a 700r4 and a 208. I thought it would be a 4l80e and 241. thanks for the help as always.

from the factory it should be a 6.2 a 4L80E and an NP241. 208s went away in 88 or 89 i do believe.

Either you have the year wrong, or somebody's messed with it. I'd run the VIN to be certain.

I've *heard* that low-GVWR 3/4's had TH400's in '91 ... but I've NEVER heard of a 3/4 ANYTHING with a 700.

You sure it's a 3/4?

i've seen a couple of 84-87 K20/V2500s with a factory 700R4 when i was working at the dealership. my C2500 has a 4L60E which is the same as a 700R4.

In the event there was a low GVWR V2500 Burb, that would explain the TH700 trans. The kicker is with the 208 t-case.... it doesn't have a VSS like the NP241. So if the t-case got replaced, that would mean the speedo was swapped to a mechanical-drive version at the same time.

Checked the vin. Someone messed with it. think i am going to pass on it now..... damn, cant seam to find a 91 with a diesel.

thx mike
