speed-o not working after swap

i went from 700r4/208 to 465/205.now speed-o doesn't work.WHYYYY!it's buggin' me.it threaded in right,wellit's on anyway.went on hard,though.unscrewed it stuck my finger in the hole and spun the gear.it isn't sticking or anything.wa' 'sup wiffit!?

you can spin the gear? if so one of the gears is probably stripped out. pull the retainer and pull the assembly out, check both gears.

i'll try that eventually.my yard is a mud pit.i'll be up your way on the 15th in the morning.thought about stopping in to meet you on the way back through if you'll be around.
