Speedo cable breaks every year at this time

That makes sense. I seen several of them over time, and seen many without that box and the cable screwed directly into the t case. GM wasnt going out of its way to do anything but make money. When I removed my drip rails on my burb, it had 2 different head screws (torx and phillips) with both pointy and drill tipped tips on them.

you need to route that more straight...

I was going to cross over the transmission then around the passenger side to get a less of a curve to it.

well it is not the cable, before i changed it i hooked a drill to the cable and speedo works ,next i took the gear box thingy and did the same and it works so the gear inside the transfer case is out
