speedo gear ?

o.k, how do you pop the speedo gear out on a 208. i know you have to take the bolt out and the clip comes off. but then what? i can't get that thing out for anything.is there some trick i'm missing? /forums/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif

If it's anything like some GM trannies (TH350, TH400, 700 and 200's) with the "large diameter" driven gear housing, I just grasp it where the cable threads on, and rock it back and forth, pulling outward. I think it is, I pulled one awhile back just to check it out.

Rotating it is a no-no, apparently (at least on some) the driven gear is offset in the housing, and rotating the housing will screw the gears up.
