I am getting ready to replace the stock speedo with a Autometer. Does
anybody know if I have to replace the cable, or can I use the stock speedo cable? And if I have to replace it how much and where to get one?

If it is an electronic speedo, you will need a Hall Effect Sensor. Sumitt PN: ATM-5291, it retails for 62.95. You cable plugs into it, then it sends the electrical signal to the speedo.:doah:

Summit has installation instructions for almost all thier products. If your speedo is mechanical you an re-use the stock cable, here is a link for an Ultra-lite 4495 install instructions.;)

i have an autometer dash and i have an 89 k5 with a 350/700/208, i order mine 100" long from www.speedometersolutions.com. it was about $60 shipped to my door for the "oem" plastic/rubber casing or you could pay a tiny bit more for the metal casing.
