I have a 88 jimmy daily driver with 33" and the speedo is out by about 10mph Is there a kit or gear that can be changed in the tranny for the speedo cable? How do figure out what ratio?

you need to replace the driven gear in the tcase, there is a little bolt and a retainer near where the speedo cable is hooked to. take that off pull it out and thats the driven gear.

i have had no luck trying to figure what gear is needed except for trail and error, took me 3 tries to get it right, then my cable broke :doah:

Thats a great help. Where would I find the gear? Is it a common part at most AutoPart dealers?
