Ok, I already have a 90 style Sub and gauges (complete body swap), BUT i am using a a TH400/Np205 with a SLIP YOKE. Now we all know this is cable operated, yet the dash and that stupid Drac are elec. Now, the sticky shows this fix with a fixed yoke and an 89 style dash, im not really a fan of the fixed yoke cuz its expensive, i dont already have it and it makes it take longer to remove the driveshaft and i dont rockcrawl to often and dont break the rear ds. Im running the TBI in this truck, but only thing that is effected is my gauges, i dont have an Egr or anything else operated by the VSS and the 400 doesnt use any elec except for kickdown, and thats on the gas pedal and i dont even use that. It runs perfect, drives fine and does everything i want it to but im considering swapping a 4l80 i got for free to tone down the 5.13s on the highway and still using my 205 because i already have the twin stick. So i need this VSS now. My question is can i modify the slip yoke output casing for a Np241 VSS and use the 241 tone ring, or do i have to swap to a fixed output on the 205? i already have to cut and extend the VSS wiring because this was a 2wd 1/2 ton body on a 80 3/4 ton frame so wiring isnt an issue. And i know this thing is a mess of trucks and random parts, thats why people around here call it the yardsale soup sandwich
