Speedometer

so would this part solve the problem?

Yes, that would make an electric Autometer speedo work for me BUT I don't know if it can support the speedo, cruise control AND the ECM all from that single VSS. Regardless, I think i'm just going to swap to the DRAC system instead and keep everything factory GM parts. Russ is helping me on another post of mine already.

Something nobody has mentioned is using a different cable. I will have to double check Krusty when I get home, but the older trucks had the cruise control transducer mounted on the inner fender and the cable is exactly what you are looking for I think. I will double check, but I believe it is 7/8 on the trans end and 5/8 on the transducer end.

The bad news is that I had to have my Napa guys find the cable and I believe it was used on Fords. They didn't show the cable I needed but with a bit of searching were able to find this one and it works perfectly.

Ouch, it's a done deal now. It isn't hard to spend $600.00 on quality gauges.

I have the following Autometer gauges coming...

3514
3531
3522
3592
3989
3990

Along with a 3 pack of 2 5/8" angle rings (I already have one left over to complete those 4 gauges). Does anyone know if an angle ring is available for the 5" gauges?

No it isn't hard at all. Mine were going to be right around 650 for the set I wanted from Autometer. Dang, now I need to remember I need that stuff before I can put the new tub to use.
