My speedometer reads 15 mph fast. I swaped from 2.73 gears to 3.73 gears. I also run 33" tires. Its really spinning the miles on the odometer how can I get this fixed with out taking it to a shop? Any suggestions?
The gear is in the t-case. I think each tooth=2mph, so just add or subtract teeth as necessary. You can get the gear at the dealer. Not sure exactly where on the t-case it is though.
I had a similar problem. I found a great parts guy at a local chevy dealer. he found me the right gears to get my speed right on. Also the gears are located in the tail housing of the transfercase. Where the cable conects to. There is a drive gear and a driven gear. Hope this helps.
