I am posting this for a friend building a Jeep.

It is for a new four-link build. My last build I used Ballistic Fabrications forged joints and they are pretty awesome. The shanks of those joints were rated for 200,000 lbs before deflection. The only downside was they loosened up. After every other trip they needed to be serviced.

The other option would be some of the Ruff Stuff specialties 1 1/4" rod ends. No need to tighten after an off-road run however if they are abused and get a little sloppy you can't really do much other than throw it away and get a replacement.

I run Jonny Joints on mine and after a year and a half I have done nothing to them. We have been running them in the Bronco for over 5 years and a couple of them have a little play in them and are due to be rebuilt. I will not run Ballistics, everybody I know has had issues with them. You have more options with rod ends but they can't be rebuilt but good ones last a long time.

If you can afford them, go Johny Joints. But my basic quality rod ends have worked fine for me. 6 years of abuse. Have bent many rods. Have reused the rod ends and bunts over and over.

If you ask anyone who knows me, I am not easy on the suspension.
