First off let me say i did use the search function on this website, pirates and chevyk5's site and i could not find the info i needed.

I'm replacing wheel studs on the front/rear of my rig (85 K5 Blazer/D44 Front/12 Bolt rear). I removed the hub/c-clips/washer and got to the outer spindle nut, this nut was of the 4 lug style which i have a socket for, however did not need it as it was already loose and i spun it off with my fingers. Pulled off the keyed washer with all the holes in it as well. Now here is my issue, the inner spindle nut has 6 lugs. My spindle socket does not line up/is not deep enough to reach the innner nut, and the autoparts stores look at me like im retarded(which i might be) even with me showing them pictures of the spindle nut. One guy told me to go try a trailer shop. I know i read that D44's came with either 4 lug or 6 lug spindle nuts so where do i get the spindle socket for it cuzz the local shops seem to not have any idea. Am i doing this wrong and my 4 lug socket does work?
