First i had a problem with the t-case linkage, then got that fixed then realized my brakes weren't doing so good, So i took apart the passenger side hub and realized before i did it that that wasn't engaging. I cleaned it all up and reassembled and found that the spring, if i take it out the hub engages i just won't beable to unlock it if i left this out, but if i leave the spring it, the hub doens't engage. Probably need new hubs huh? I hope not, got a dana60 lined up, maybe two of them, and i am just trying to make my truck doable for now until i swap in the dana 60. Can i leave that spring out and be in 4x4 all the time, i'm in Alaska so it may not be that big of a problem.

If you dont mind having the hubs locked in all the time you can stick that spring on the opposite side of the gear....so between the gear and cover...and it will hold the gear in.
