spline count??

I would like to know the spline count on a 1987 K-5 Blazer
with a 350ci and a stock 700r4? What would be the number of splines.

700R-4 is a 27 spline output...

Torque convertor should be a 30 tooth spline. If you are buying a new 700r4 I recomend you get a new torque convertor. If not cleaned out properly your old torque convertor may be filled with particles and metal shavings. Which may cause your new tranny to fail. Also clean out the cooler good.

The only thing I recall where the spline count changed to 30 spline was the 89 and newer 10 bolt diff's...they went from 28 to 30 spline that year.
