Quick question for the more experienced...

When I do the calculations to mate my 6L80E to my NP205 it looks like i'm going to end up with 1.1" of full 32 spline engagement.

Is 1.1" enough to fully engage the T-Case? All of the big axle builders say 1" minimum but i'm not sure with a T-Case? It will be about .75" less than factory.

Thanks!

I've read 1.5" miniumum, but also have heard of length of engagement equal to or greater than the diameter of the shaft.

tranny tends to have more spline length . check the input gear on the tcase.

if its 1.5" then 1.5" is best to have contact with.

if its 2" then 2" is best . but also if your tranny output goes to deep it will be out past the input gear splines and just as bad .
