Spool and Street driving

Imagine this:

In every turn the tire nearest to the corner you turn in will roll without it moving in distance so it will be kind of burning a bit of rubber

I DD my K5 with a welded rear, basicly same thing as a spool.

Only when I make really sharp turns at low speeds do I notice it. Like full lock in a parking lot. You can fell/hear the tires slipping. And the truck kinda lurches, but that could be all the slop in the slip yoke/t-case/trans. In the snow, I find it allot more predictable than the gov-loc that was in there. No issues with towing either. Possibly one of the best mods I've done for off-roading too. Would I do it again, yes in a heartbeat.

If you mainly DD your rig you will eat tires quickly. Offroad in the dirt and on trails it would be no problem.

Thats what I was mainly worring about. No sense in chewing up expensive tires. I off to look for a locker i guess, thanks for the input guys
