Would like to see some pics of the spray bomb paint jobs you guys have done. I am trying to decide what color to paint my k5. I was thinking something like a dark green with a flat black. But lets see the pictures roll.

Thanks in advance.

My 87 chevy. Painted in the driveway with rustoleum...

Mine's brushed instead of sprayed, but it's bright freakin orange so it really doesn't count anyways. It's not very hard to do a good job if you take your time and be patient with the conditions i.e. temp, humidity, etc.

and dont forget flat black will never go out of style :D I love it. rattle canned my '81 k5 before selling it. Flat black is cool :waytogo:

I did mine Krylon khaki. When I bought the hood it had month old paint on it so I left it the metalic charcoal grey that it is :D

1. Khaki

3. Forest Green

All form Rustoleum

freakin right!
i am doing this that my 81 if i ever get a day off, it is currently gloss black walmart spraycan stuff dollar a can

tell ya what the women arent impressed by rattle canned truck appearance

this one girl the other day was looking at my 81 and was saying about it being ugly and that she didnt know why guys liked them(old beater trucks)

hmmm

driving old beater spraypainted chevy trucks is great and is what ill always have around for reasons such as: no car payments for years and years,,
-are 100% reliable
-can get dented or whatever and it doesnt matter because it wont need a band aid that costs like 2 grand, instead some quick spraypaint will fix it, all for a whopping one dollar bill :D

Lowes Hardware......Semi-gloss The kind I bought was $3.00 a can or so.

my buddy is doing his in ultra flat kakki kralon from cabelas i picked him up a gallon when i was down wheeling should look good

LOL! Krylon Khaki just sounds pimp! I chose the tried and true flat black Rustoleum, why? Cause you don't even have to wash the truck before painting, that stuff sticks to anything. :D

I kinda got carried away in the prep, being that it was gonna be rattle canned :p: I sanded, welded up a 100 aftermarket trim holes, filled the grind marks on the welds, used realy good self etching primer on all the bare metal spots, sanded ,wet sanded, and the painted  I spent a ton of time on the doors (too much :p: ) ,and now I dont even run em :D I dont even think they will go back on.
