I just got my motor mounts and greasable spring eye bushings from DIY4X. Motor mounts are awesome. I have a few questions about the spring bushings. The bolt is the right length/diameter. However, the bushing shoulder is a 1/4" narrower than the existing bushings. I could put washers on each side, would that be cosher? Even if its not correct, I would be tempted to do this, because anything is better than my drivers side bushing. TIA

Id tackweld some washers in there, id only use one washer on each side (of the spring) close to 1/8" thick as you can get.

I wrote the first post in a hurry. I am in no way badmouthing DIY4X. Have not called to ask him because I think washers would work. I'm anxious to install these. The shot bushing(and motor mounts)are the only thing that is keeping me from offroading. British Slave, these are poly so I dont need outer sleeves, do I?

We do the heavy washers for this application. Lot of times I throw them in for free if we know you need them.

Looks like a lift spring being replaced with a rear spring?

Thanks again for the order:waytogo:
Supposed to be a standard lift spring. They were on the truck along with the swaybar when I bought it. Rough country 4" from looking at other peoples pics. I will make some washers out of scrap plate. Only reason that I asked here was to bounce the idea around and not do something ignorant like unduly inhibit movement. I look forward to doing busisness in the future
