whats the difference of spring centers on the rear between a pre 1972 and a 1973 up? will a rearend out of a 70 work in a 77? or do I have to re weld new spring plates on axle? /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

SPRING CENTER DIFFERENCE

70 is 40.5" center to center, 77 is 42.5" center to center. A diff from a 73-91 one ton will bolt right up to a 70. the 77 diff will need perches moved in an inch on each side.
