Spring Guru\'s

Aight I am gonna update my rear spring's here's what I got:
Stock 84 spring's with 2 inch block's and a add-a-leaf

I have to change my body bushing's soon which means pulling the gas tank and hitch,so might as well do the shackle flip. I have 2.5 inch lift springs in the front now,so if I went with the 2.5 inch flip kit in the rear what should I do with the rear springs?

They are rusty,and pretty old...
Can I sand them & paint them? or Replace them?

Does someone make a Teflon coating paint?

Re: Spring Guru\'s

You can go to a spring shop and get the teflon pads and buttons and rebuild them yourself (what I am doing to mine). Than get a set of greasable bushings from ORD.

Re: Spring Guru\'s

Yeah, there was a recent post about using Teflon sheets (actually, it was high density plastic) along between each of the springs. They also wire brushed/sanded the leafs and then painted them with epoxy paint. Grind and radius (round) the ends of the leafs as well. There was also an article in one of the mags about reconditioning spring packs but I don't remember when.
